Local Girl Hits It Big On HISTORY’s American Pickers: Lauren Wray Grisham Stars in Upcoming Episodes Filmed at Antique Archaeology – Nashville

Available for Immediate Release: August 3, 2011

Local Nashville resident, Lauren Wray Grisham, has landed a major role on HISTORY’s American Pickers. Mike Wolfe, the star and creator of the hit show, recently opened an Antique Archaeology shop in Nashville. The store is located in the old automotive plant in Marathon Village. It joins the original Antique Archaeology in Le Claire, Iowa as a focal point of the American Pickers adventures. Lauren is one of the Nashville store’s managers and has already filmed four episodes. She was hired on the spot just this year by the siren of rust, Danielle Colby-Cushman.

Lauren brings an eclectic southern dazzle to the Antique Archaeology team. With a background in Archaeology, Historic Preservation, and Couture Western Wear under her belt, she evokes a sense of knowledge, humor, and style to everyone she meets. Lauren’s been charming customers with her alluring wit and insight regarding picks since the store opened in July.

Antique Archaeology is owned by Mike Wolfe, a lifelong American picker who has been combing through junk since the age of four. Over the years, he has earned a reputation as one of the country’s foremost foragers, traveling coast to coast in search of forgotten treasures. Where other people see dilapidated barns and overgrown yards, Mike sees potential gold mines packed with rare finds and sensational stories as seen on History Channel’s top-rated program, American Pickers. The first Antique Archaeology is located in the quaint river town of Le Claire, Iowa and features antiques, vintage items, folk art, and Antique Archaeology merchandise.
